From string line to walkthrough: how a Wheeler fence goes in
Most home fences are finished in one to three days. Here is what happens in that time.
Customers tell us the most stressful part of hiring a contractor is not knowing what happens next. So here is the whole process, start to finish.
1. Site review
We walk the property with you, confirm the boundary and plan the layout: where the line runs, where gates go and how the fence handles slopes. Utility locates are called in before any digging, so buried lines are marked a few days ahead.
2. Material selection
Vinyl, wood, aluminum, chain link or farm fence, chosen for how the property is used. You get a clear price before any work begins.
3. Installation
Posts are set to depth and pulled to a string line so the whole run stays straight. Concrete around the posts needs a day or two to cure, then panels and gates go up plumb and level, section by section.
They got the posts as close as they can to structures so we dont have any 4 legged escape artists. — Kody Valera, Google review
4. Final walkthrough
We walk the finished fence with you and check every gate. Labor carries a one-year workmanship warranty, on top of the manufacturer’s warranty on materials.
